Hohe Tauern National Park
The park lies at the heart of the Austrian Alps. It covers 1,809 km² and is the largest park in the entire Alps region.
Here you will find Austria’s highest mountain peak, the largest chain of glaciers in the eastern Alps, vast Alpine pasture landscapes, crags and Europe’s highest waterfall. But this region is also characterised by its century-old cultural landscape.
